Privacy policy

Who we are

EC Managed IT is a privately held Canadian managed-IT firm, headquartered in Langley, B.C. We serve clients across Canada. Questions about this policy: email hello@ecmanagedit.com or call (604) 888-7904, Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday closed.

This is not a client-services agreement. Work we do under a managed-IT contract is covered by that contract. Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, applies to how we handle personal information in the course of commercial activity.

What this website collects

You can read the site without sending us a form. When you do send something, we collect only what that form asks for.

Contact, callback, and assessment-request forms. Name, work email or phone, topic, message, and (for a callback) a preferred time. We hash the network address for rate limiting. Cloudflare Turnstile may run to block bots. Mail goes to hello@ecmanagedit.com.

AI readiness worksheet on /managed-ai/ai-readiness-assessment collects name, work email, company, optional phone and role, and the five written answers. We email a copy to you and to hello@ecmanagedit.com so we can prepare the conversation. It is not a scored product and not a scan of your network.

Domain Risk Snapshot at /domain-check. First name, work email, company domain, optional company name, and a hashed network address. Cloudflare Turnstile may run. We send a one-time code to that work inbox, then scan public DNS and HTTPS for that domain. A copy of the score and top findings is emailed to you and to hello@ecmanagedit.com. It is not a penetration test and does not inspect your internal network, devices, or cloud tenant.

Booking calendar. The assessment calendar is Timezest. If you pick a time, Timezest collects the name, email, and company you enter there. That is their system. We receive the booking so we can hold the call.

We do not publish an advertising pixel on these pages. We do not run a marketing cookie banner because we do not set advertising cookies on this site.

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, devices, and whether a form or booking click completed. Google sets first-party analytics cookies on ecmanagedit.com for that measurement. We do not use those hits to sell ads or to build remarketing lists. We do not send the contents of a form (name, email, phone, message, or the domain you typed into Domain Risk Snapshot) to Google Analytics.

Preview copies of this website on Vercel are not measured.

How we use it

We use what you send to:

• answer the request, book the assessment, or return the callback
• email you the Domain Risk Snapshot you asked for
• keep the forms usable (rate limits, bot checks)
• meet a legal duty if one applies

We do not sell personal information. We do not buy advertising lists.

Who else sees it

We share personal information only as needed to run the request: our email provider, Cloudflare (Turnstile), Timezest (if you book), and our hosting provider. We do not share it with other organizations for their marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

SMS

The live site published an SMS privacy policy effective 20 November 2017. Those rules still apply when you opt in to texts from EC Managed IT.

If you opt in, we may collect your mobile number, your name if you give it, and whatever you send in a text. We use that to send service-related updates, support-ticket notices, appointment reminders, and follow-ups, and to answer you. We do not use SMS for marketing unless that is stated and separately consented to.

Consent is specific to SMS. You may give it by texting START to our support number, or on a service form that asks for SMS opt-in. Message frequency depends on the work. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Text STOP to our support number to opt out. You will get a confirmation, and we will not text that number again. Text HELP, call (604) 888-7904, or email hello@ecmanagedit.com for assistance. Existing clients can also use Support.

We do not sell or share SMS personal information except with the SMS provider that delivers the messages, or with legal authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Website form mail is kept as long as we need it to handle the request and as required by law. Domain Risk Snapshot records are used to return a score and to enforce a cooldown so the same domain is not scanned over and over. SMS records are kept only as long as needed for those messages or as required by law. You may ask us to delete information we hold by emailing hello@ecmanagedit.com.

Access and correction

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@ecmanagedit.com. We will need enough detail to find the record. We may refuse a request only where the law allows it, and we will say so.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to this website: HTTPS, rate limiting, and Cloudflare Turnstile on the public forms. No website is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords or card numbers through these forms.

Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top is the current version. Material changes to SMS terms may also be sent by text where that is appropriate.
