EC Managed IT supports forestry operators whose work is land, harvest, fibre, and the plan. The map and the cut cannot live on one unmanaged laptop. Email, identity, and backup have to sit under the same owner as those systems, whether staff are in the office or not.
An outage in Trimble, Silvacom, ArcGIS, or Remsoft is a day the plan and the field do not match. A lost field laptop is inventory and block data walking off site. Those are operations failures.

Operations
What breaks first
- Planning systems are in the office and field devices are personal laptops with the same files.
- ArcGIS and Remsoft projects have no tested restore except a copy on someone’s desktop.
- MFA was skipped for “the guys in the field.”
- Connectivity is treated as a camp problem instead of an estate problem. Support still has to reach them. Headquarters remains Langley.

Planners and field staff use one directory. A lost laptop is a wipe, not a guess about which block file was on it. Remote support is from Langley. There is no published forestry branch.

How we work
How the work is split
Managed IT keeps the estate running, including hybrid work. Managed Security owns identity and email. Managed Integration joins planning tools to Microsoft 365 when a connector or Power Platform will do. Managed Engineering builds the gap when it will not. Managed AI is available when the operator wants Copilot or other models on that estate — not a chatbot on this website.

Questions
Does EC only serve forestry?
No. This is one of ten industry pages. Headquarters is Langley. The same five practices apply in every sector.
Do we have to move off Trimble, Silvacom, ArcGIS, or Remsoft to work with you?
No. Those are systems we support. Keep them.
Do you have an office in camp or in the Interior?
No. Headquarters is Langley. Field sites get remote support and the same identity standard. We do not publish a second forestry office.
Is this the same as Manufacturing or Construction?
No. The plant sits on Manufacturing. Building roads or sites as a construction project sits on Construction. Land, harvest, and planning sit here.
